Issue:
The ZSI wiring test does not work due to the ZSI module signal. (ZSI wiring test with FFTK or Service Interface) Example: They have 12 LJ downstream plus the 2 NW upstream. All ZSI wiring tests are failing using the Service Interface kit.
Product Line:
Powerpact H, J, L downstream, Powerpact P, R or Masterpact NT NW upstream
Environment:
ZSI module installed between downstream and upstream breakers
Resolution:
This has been an issue since the inception of the ZSI module. The ZSI wiring test using the FFTK or Service Interface does not work due to the ZSI module signal. The ZSI module does not allow the 5Hz pulsing of the ZSI line to pass through correctly to the upstream devices. The 5Hz pulsing is how the upstream devices determine that the ZSI test signal is being applied.
You can leave the ZSI test on the downstream breaker and wait to see if there are any Isd/Ii/Ig LED flashes, even just one or two flashes will let you know that the wiring is correct. Otherwise, they will need to use primary injection.
