This error usually appears after:

• A failed SoMachine installation/update
• A partial uninstall
• Missing permissions or corrupted files under Program Files (x86)
• Conflicting versions of SoMachine or EcoStruxure Machine Expert

The most common fix, and first thing to try, is to go to:

Control Panel → Programs & Features → Double click on SoMachine → Repair

If that doesn't work, you can also try a full reinstall.
