HMI License Manager 2.1.1.0 Installation Wizard was interrupted
Issue
When running the HMI License Manager 2.1.1.0 installer from the Schneider Electric Software Update Tool, the following message appears:
"The Installation Wizard was interrupted before HMI License Manager could be completely installed"
Product Line
HMI License Manager (for Vijeo Designer 6.3 or higher and EcoStruxure Operator Terminal Expert v4.0 or higher)
Environment
Windows 10 / Windows 11 Professional
Cause
The HMI License Manager first detects if there is an older License Manager and uninstalls it, then it checks for whether or not there is an older version of the Schneider Electric Software Update Tool older than the current version (3.0.12.0 at the time of this writing). If it is older, it will proceed to upgrade it to the latest version. If the Schneider Electric Software service is running and it is currently writing to disk, it will not be able to be updated.
Resolution
To solve this issue, follow these steps:
1) Obtain the latest installer file for the Schneider Electric Software Update tool (v3.0.12) by opening this URL in your browser:
(This will be an immediate download)
2) Run Windows Services.
3) Find "Schneider Electric FUS Service"
4) Right-click on it and choose "Stop"
5) Find "Schneider Electric SUT Service"
6) Right-click on it and choose "Stop"
7) Install the "SESU_latest_setup_sfx.exe" that you grabbed from Step 1.
8) Install the HMI License Manager update
9) Then install the HMI License Manager from the installer file once again.
