Exporting Variable Values from PLC

To access variable values already defined in the PLC program, you can use the Export DTX File feature in EcoStruxure Control Expert. This file can later be re-imported into the same project.

Note: This operation can only be performed when connected to the CPU.

Steps to Export Data:

1. In EcoStruxure Control Expert, go to the top menu, click PLC, and select Save Data from PLC.
2. A new window will open.

Depending on the variable type, select the appropriate options and specify the destination file.

Restoring Data from a Previously Exported .DTX File

Steps to Restore Data:

1. In the top menu, click PLC and select Restore Data from File to PLC.
2. If the controller is in RUN mode, a message will appear allowing you to:
   • Proceed with the transfer while the controller continues operating (OK), or
   • Cancel the transfer.
3. A dialog box opens. Select the file to import and click Open.
4. A confirmation message will ask if you want to proceed with the transfer.
