How is the IPR (motor power) parameter calculated on an ATV61/71?
Issue:
IPR (motor power) parameter calculation

Product Line:
Altivar ATV61

Environment:
All

Cause:
IPr parameter

Resolution:
In order to calculate and/or monitor motor power, need to consider the speed of the motor, Power factor and efficiency.
The Power Factor and Efficiency drop at lower speeds.

Here are a couple of examples/calculations:
AH3 at 60hz: 96A x 460Vx sqrt(3) x 0.7(PF &Eff) = 53.54 kW
AH3 at 30hz: 35A x 230V x sqrt(3) x 0.43(PF & Eff) = 6.0 kW

Accuracy is about 10%
