How do I assign separate ACC/DEC ramps for forward and reverse on ATV61/ATV71 series drives?
Issue:
ATV61/71 separate ACC/DEC ramps for forward and reverse.

Product Line:
Altivar 61 and Altivar 71 series drives.

Environment:
All models, All serial numbers.

Cause:
Application requires different acceleration and deceleration times for forward and reverse operation.

Resolution:
From the main menu, select ACCESS LEVEL and set ACCESS LEVEL to Expert.
Under menu 1.7, Application function, select RAMP submenu and press Enter.
Scroll down to RAMP SWITCH ASSIGNMENT and set this parameter to the same logic input as your run reverse command.
Set ACCELERATION and DECELERATION to the desired times for forward operation.
Set ACCELERATION 2 and DECELERATION 2 to the desired times for reverse operation.

When running in forward direction, the drive will follow the setting ACCELERATION and DECELERATION.
When running in reverse direction, the RAMP SWITCH ASSIGNMENT will be pulled high along with the Run Reverse input, which will cause the drive to follow the settings of ACCELERATION 2 and DECELERATION 2.
