What would cause the line isolation contactor to pull in when you power up the ATS48 soft starter?
Issue:
The line isolation contactor is not pulling in when you power up the ATS48 soft starter.
Product Line:
Altistat ATS48 soft starters or 48U enclosed
Environment:
All
Cause:
Line contactor is pulling when you first power up the ATS48 soft starter.
Resolution:
The R1 relay (R1A and R1C) is a dry contact, and normally controls the isolation contactor control circuit. If R1 is programmed for fault, the R1 relay will close or energize when you apply control voltage to CL1 CL2.
If R1 is programmed for isolation, the R1 relay will close only after you get the soft starter a run command.
