Issue:
Looking at the specs of the Magelis HMIG2U, they are very similar to the Magelis HMIG3U. Are there any differences?

The only major difference between the HMIG2U and HMIG3U is that the HMIG2U uses an internal flash memory to store the application and operating system. On the other hand, the HMIG3U uses an SD card to hold the application and operating system. In the event that the operating system is corrupt in the field, the HMIG3U has the added benefit of being able to recover quickly. We have a tool to restore the OS image on the SD card for the HMIG3U whereas the HMIG2U does not. The recovery for the HMIG2U will need to be done at the factory and not in the field. You can take look at the HMIG2U as being similar to the HMIGTO or XBTGT of the good old days. Recovery was always something that could not be done in the field. This is the only difference for the hardware.
