HMI P6 : How to solve the virtual disk service error after a write filter usage ?

The goal of this FaQ is to explain how to solve the 'virtual disk' service error after a write filter usage.

This issue can occur after a volume modification (like Shrink a new system volume).

The device impacted is the Harmony P6 IPC Box.

Procedure steps

  1. Open the Windows task manager.
  2. Reach the ‘services’ tab
  3. Click on ‘Open Services’ tab
    Task Manager
  4. Open ‘Properties’ of ‘Optimize drives
  5. Change ‘Startup type’ from disable to ‘Automatic (Delayed Start)
