Does the Resi9 SPD require an additional protection device (MCB)?

We recommend using Resi9 MCB backup protection device for Resi9 SPD, 1P 40A MCB (R9F06140) for 1P SPD (R9L40100).


Why a back up protection is necessary?
(1) Protect upstream fuse/breaker - cascading
(2) Ensure the power can be turned back on until the SPD is replaced in the event of SPD tripResi9 faq1
