PME - Does it access Active Directory at all?

Does Power Monitoring Expert (PME) use any protocol to access the Active Directory?

Resolution

NLtest.exe is a windows component. PME uses it to get a list of domain controllers on your Network.

It does this so when a user logs in with their windows credentials there is a request to NLtest.exe to check the credentials and see if the credentials are valid.

The credential validations are routed through NLtest.exe and it connects to NetLogon service which establishes between clients and the domain controller that logs them on.
