Power Operation - IO Device Manager "'VFPOLEDB.1' provider is not registered on the local machine" Error

Issue

Power Operation was installed without any issues. However when opening the I/O device manager the following error message appears.

"Unable to load configuration settings. Here is some additional information: The 'VFPOLEDB.1' provider is not registered on the local machine."

Selecting OK from there loads the IO Device Manager, however it will not work properly, and will eventually cause the application to crash.

Resolution

To resolve the "'VFPOLEDB.1' provider is not registered on the local machine." error you can try the following steps:

1. Register the Provider: You can try re-registering the vfpoledb.1 provider using the regsvr32 command. Open a command prompt with administrator privileges and run the following command: regsvr32 vfpoledb.dll

2. Verify Installation: Ensure that the Visual FoxPro OLE DB Provider is installed on the system. If not, you may need to install or reinstall it.

3. Check System Architecture: If you are on a 64-bit system, ensure that you are using the correct version of the provider (32-bit or 64-bit) based on the architecture of your application.

4. System Reboot: After performing the registration or installation, it's advisable to reboot the system to apply the changes.
