Recommended Firmware Update for PM5500 Series Meters

As part of our ongoing commitment to product quality and reliability, Schneider Electric continuously monitors field performance, reviews customer feedback, and takes appropriate actions to ensure the highest standards of product performance.

During a recent quality assessment, we identified an observation related to firmware version 4.5.0, where there is a remote possibility of communication instability in a limited number of PM5500 series meter installations. While the occurrence appears to be isolated, we are proactively informing customers and recommending precautionary measures to help ensure continued reliable operation and maintain optimal system performance.

Recommended Action
As a preventive measure, we recommend updating affected meters to the firmware versions listed below until the next firmware release becomes available. For new installations, we also recommend applying the listed firmware version prior to commissioning. This recommendation is intended to maintain optimal communication performance and minimize the possibility of service interruptions.
