For the LC1D Contactors (Tesys "D" range), what is the difference between utilization categories AC-1 and AC-3?

For the Tesys "D" Range of contactors,
- AC-1 Utilization category: it is a general category that describes the resistive, non-inductive or slightly inductive loads (mainly power factor of load 0.95 or more) and it cannot be used to describe AC motors.
- AC-3 Utilization Category: it is a general category describes all Squirrel cage motors during starting, breaking or motor running.

The Tesys "D" contactors can be used with both categories according to the application and the nature of load.

(note: the same contactor used for both categories with de-rating - there is no specific contactor reference per category).
