Causes and Fixes

When using Data Manager to retrieve the recipe data from a target as a CSV/TXT file, the file obtained contains all the data in a recipe group, including all the information on recipes and recipe ingredients. This is considered to be the full version of the recipe CSV/TXT format.
When using Data Manager to send a recipe CSV/TXT file to a target, the format of the CSV/TXT file needed only includes a subset of this information. This is considered to be the simplified version of the recipe CSV/TXT format.

Here is a description of its contents:
Recipe, Recipe ID, Recipe Access Right
Label, Language ID, Recipe Label String
(… All other labels)
Ingredient, Ingredient Name, Ingredient Value String
(… All other ingredients)
End

Here are some important notes about this format:
1. The words in bold are keywords.
2. In the description above, the comma (,) is used as field delimiter. This applies to CSV files (comma-separated values).
3. For TXT files, the field delimiter character is the same as the one chosen in the CSV/TXT Field Delimiter drop-down window inside the Data Manager Options window. Therefore, replace all the commas in the description above by the field delimiter character

Here is an example of a recipe group. It has 2 recipes. Each recipe has 3 labels and 5 ingredients.

Here is the simplified version of the recipe CSV file:

Here is an explanation of how to convert a recipe CSV or TXT file from the full version to the simplified version (example based on the TXT file):

1. Determine what needs to be green, blue and red in the full version recipe CSV or TXT file, based on the following example:

2. Create the simplified version recipe CSV or TXT file, based on the following template (the words in bold are keywords):
Recipe, Recipe ID, Recipe Access Right
Label, Language ID, Recipe Label String
(… All other labels)
Ingredient, Ingredient Name, Ingredient Value String
(… All other ingredients)
End
There are 3 keywords for which the contents of the lines will depend on step 1:
· Recipe: use what is in green at step 1 for the Recipe part of the simplified version file.
· Label: use what is in blue at step 1 for the Label part of the simplified version file.
· Ingredient: use what is in red at step 1 for the Ingredient part of the simplified version file.
