Drive Will Not Connect
1. Verify Installation
- Ensure a Modbus serial cable (not Ethernet) is connected to the correct port.
- Confirm proper pin wiring based on the required pinout.
- Minimize electrical interference:
- Use separate conduits for control and power wiring
- Add terminating resistors if the drive is the last device on the network
2. Check Network Configuration
- Make sure there are no duplicate Modbus addresses on the network.
- Verify all network devices are properly configured and compatible.
3. Confirm Drive Communication Settings
In the drive settings, verify:
- Modbus Address
- Baud Rate
- Other serial parameters (parity, stop bits if applicable)
