Is it possible to read the serial number of Sepam 20 base unit via Modbus communication?

Cause

The Modbus register address associated with the Sepam 20 serial number is not published. This restriction is implemented by the product development team to prevent unauthorized access that could potentially allow modification of the serial number and affect device integrity.

Resolution

It is not possible to obtain the Sepam 20 serial number via published Modbus communication registers, as the corresponding Modbus address is not made available.

To retrieve the serial number of a Sepam 20 unit, use one of the following Schneider Electric software tools:

• SFT2841
• SFTSAV

These tools provide access to device identification information, including the serial number, without requiring direct Modbus register access.
