Can an ATV320 SoMove file be converted from a 3HP to a 7.5HP unit?

Issue:
User is replacing an existing motor where the installed drive is ATV320, 3HP and the new motor will be 7.5HP.  They want to keep the same programming and communication addressing and setup.  They have the SoMove files for the existing drive.

Product line:
Altivar 320, ATV320 Machine drive

Environment:
SoMove

Cause:
Change of motor size

Resolution:
Yes, you can change the part number or accessories used in the drive (i.e. option cards) using SoMove to maintain the same program settings but change the drive size.

*Note - make sure you are not connected to the drive.

Open the saved SoMove file.  At the top menu, open the Device menu.  Select Edit Topology.
A new window opens for you to select a new Reference (part number).
Once a new number is selected a warning message comes up that a partial factory reset is completed.  Click OK to continue.
Click OK on the selection window.

You can now save the new settings and load into the drive.
