PME Databases

Resolution:

Warning: Irreparable database damage can occur. This procedure should only be performed by users familiar with SQL Server Management Studio. Databases should be backed up prior to performing this procedure.

The setting for increasing this timeout can be found in the Application Modules database. There are two ways to edit this default value:

    1. Manually go to the table and adjust the value:
      1. Open SQL Server Management Studio and sign into the PME database
      2. Expand on the databases and look for the Application Modules database
      3. Expand on the database and go to the Views folder
      4. Right click on Configuration.ConfigurationSettings and press "Edit Top 200 Rows"
      5. Match the columns with these parameters
        1. ItemType = Web Application
        2. Item = Dashboard Settings
        3. Key = DashboardWebServiceTimeoutMs
      6. Manually edit the value in the Value column by double clicking on it (default is 120000)

    where to go in ssms

    1. Run this query and change the [timeout period in ms] into the value in milliseconds (without the brackets)

    update [ApplicationModules].[Configuration].[ConfigurationSettings]
    set value = [timeout period in ms]
    where ItemType like 'Web Application' and Item like 'Dashboard Settings';
