Issue:
PowerChute messaging option is not available on Microsoft Vista and above.

Cause:
This is a Microsoft limitation. Microsoft has omitted the messenger service that it has used since Windows NT. This is the background process that PowerChute has been using to message the local and remote servers.
Solution:
PowerChute is capable of running command files so if you have an alternative messaging system on your computers that can be called from a command/batch file, you may be able to use this as a solution. For help writing command files for use with PowerChute Business Edition please review FAQ FA159586 Windows command file is not running within PowerChute: How to check correct syntax usage.
Another option is to trigger an action via the Windows Event Viewer - Windows Logs - Application Log as PowerChute will add entries into the Application Log. You can attached a task to the event. see FAQ FA228995 list of all events created by PowerChute Business Edition and PowerChute Serial Shutdown that will be logged in the Windows Event Viewer.
