Cause
Not all meters or software support the SMNP protocol

Resolution
The SNMP protocol is only supported by:

• ION7400 series meters
• ION7550 and ION7650 series meters with firmware version 350 or greater
• PM5500 series meters with firmware v2.0.1 or greater
• PM8000 series meters
• PM800 series meters with PM8ECC ethernet communication cards
• CM4000T with ECC21 ethernet communication card
• BCPME
• EGX100, EGX150 and EGX300 Ethernet Gateways (MIB II)

All other meters do not support this protocol.

EGX gateways: Is an MIB file necessary to utilize the SNMP feature available on the Ethernet Gateway (EGX), the Ethernet Communications Card (ECC) or Ethernet interface for Powerpact and Masterpact LV (IFE)?

ION Enterprise and Struxtureware Power Monitoring do not support the SNMP protocol. To read the SNMP data in ION Enterprise or SPM convert the data to Modbus or ION protocol.
