Issue:
A user would like to know how can they change the password on an ION7700 and what the restrictions are on the new password.
Can the password contain numbers, letters, and special characters?
What is the maximum number of characters the password can contain?

Environment:
ION7700 Password Change

Cause:
A user desires to change the password on an ION7700 from the default (0) to something else which may contain numbers, letters, and special characters.

Resolution:
The password can be changed from front panel of the ION7700.

In order to change the password, navigate the front display through "Setup -->Other settings --> change password".

First enter the current password when prompted. (Default password is 0)

You will now be able to configure your new password. The new password can be mix of numbers, letters, and special characters. However, the maximum length of the password is 4 digits long.
