When finger-style vertical cable managers are used in a 750mm wide NetShelter cabinet, is it possible to also block off the cable pass-thru openings in the mounting rails?
Issue:
Using the finger-style vertical cable managers inside a NetShelter cabinet, designers need to know how to block hot air from recirculating through the rails.

Product Line:
NetShelter SX

Environment:
All versions and serial ranges.

Cause:
There are holes in the finger-style vertical cable managers to allow cables to run from front to rear inside the cabinet. If left open, hot air can recirculate through these holes.

Resolution:
When there are finger style cable managers installed inside the 750mm wide NetShelter cabinet, AR7714 must be used to prevent hot air recirculation. The AR7714 installs onto the finger style vertical cable manager.

Without the finger-style vertical cable managers in place, AR7706 is used in the wide NetShelter cabinets. It's a brush strip style airflow management product that allows cables to pass through. It installs onto the vertical mounting rail.
