Is there a best practice to manage the version of CID for the IEDs configured on BMENOP0300?
Customers concern that during project development or commissioning phase, the configuration IEC61850 relays are constantly changing and it is hard for them to manage the different version in order to match it with the CID version imported in the IEC Configuration Tool of the BMENOP0300.
The best practice in that scenario is to have a central depository with revision control.
EcoStruxure Power Automation System Engineering is a system configurator. So with this tool, you can manage a full system IEC61850 configuration (SBUS and PBUS). So you can define the electrical view, the data model of each IED and the system data flow (reports, Gooses, sample values and polling). Then you can generate a SCD. From the SCD you can configure the individual IEDs.
