Do I need a grey CPU to get new features of BMENUA100 FW 2.0?
No, the BMENUA0100 FW 2.0 can be installed on a white CPU. To get benefit of new features, this white CPU will have to be upgraded to SV4.01 using EADM tool.
Does the M580 CPU perform OPC UA Client by itself without using the BMENUA0100 module?
Yes. OPC UA client is independent of the BMENUA0100 module.
How can we do PLC-PLC OPC communications if one of the PLC is not an OPC-UA Server?
OPC UA protocol is a client /server protocol. Consequently communications between M580 platforms will require a client running in the CPU, communicating with a BMENUA0100 on the other side.
