Insert a VW3A3720 EIP/Mdb TCP Dual port communication card into the module slot.
Ensure the VW3A3720 card is updated to the correct firmware for use in the ATS480.
VW3A3720 Compatibility ATS480 soft starters with, at least, V1.1IE01 software version, are only compatible with VW3A3720 Ethernet module versions V2.1 and higher.
Consult with the Drives Product Support Group for Firmware procedures, Firmware, DTM’s and keypad LANGUAGE file.
Ensure control power is properly connected to CL1 and CL2:
It is also required to have 24VDC present on the STOP terminal to enable network start/stop. If this voltage is missing, the ATS480 will remain in nSt state and unable to run.
A hardwired E-Stop or shutdown circuit can be wired between +24 and STOP so that the circuit is closed when allowed to start and is open to stop. If no external interlock is needed a jumper can be installed between +24 and STOP, but be sure to evaluate the safety of this for your specific installation. See manuals for details.
