Context
To configure the MBP_MSTR function block in order to have the status of the NOE Quantum module, please proceed as in the example below:
The screenshot below shows the use of the MBP_MSTR function block in an FBD section. This Control Expert app has been lab tested and works well.
With MBP_MSTR, each network communication operations canning be triggered via the network has a function code which is assigned it. The availability of specific operations depends on both the type of network and the type of module you are using. The different function codes are listed in the table below.
Knowing that our client wishes to know the state of the link of the NOE Quantum, then the function code which interests him is the one allowing to obtain local statistics and according to the table below, it is 3. I specify that the NOE module is in slot 4 of the rack and that is why MBP_MSTR.CONTROL[5]=16#0004.
The Ethernet TCP/IP module's response to the local statistics commands of the MBP_MSTR block can be found in the databuf array (see information in the table below):
If we refer to the screenshot relating to the animation table of the application developed for the client, the NOE status is given with the MBP_MSTR_DATA[3].The detail of all the information contained in this word can be found in the online help of Control Expert.
