PME - How to calculate past 2 months accumulation for numeric displays

Issue

There is a need to display previous monthly accumulated kWh on a Vista or Graphics Editor diagram.

Resolution

The following example shows how to calculate the previous month and 2nd previous month accumulated kWh. Additional Store Modules and Feedback Modules can be added to display the 3rd previous month, 4th previous month, and so on.

1. Log into Designer and open one of the VIPs (e.g. VIP.DEFAULT)

2. Add an Integrator Module, 2 Store Modules and 2 Feedback Modules

3. Rename one Store Module to "Past Month", and link the following inputs:

• Source 1: (Result output from Integrator 1 Module)
• Store: (Pulse Out output from Feedback 1 Module)

4. Rename the other Store Module to "Past 2nd Month", and link the following inputs:

• Source 1: (Source Out 1 output from “Past Month” Store Module)
• Store: CL1 New Month (from Clock Module)

5. On Feedback 1, link the following inputs:

• Source: (Store Complete output from “Past 2nd Month” Store Module)

6. On Feedback 2, link the following inputs:

• Source: (Store Complete output from “Past Month” Store Module)

7. On Integrator 1, link the following inputs:

• Integrand: (flow measurement from meter, such as scf/min or gal/min)
• Reset: (Pulse Out output from Feedback 2 Module)

8. On Integrator 1, configure the following setup register:

• Divisor: it’s in seconds, so set to 60 if measurement is /min, set to 3600 if /hour, etc.

9. On the diagram, link the following to the numeric display objects:

•  "Past 2 Months" STO Source Out 1 output to the display object for the accumulated value for 2 Months Ago

•  "Past Month" STO Source Out 1 output to the display object for the accumulated value for Last Month

•  "Integrator 1" IN Result output to the display object for the accumulated value for Month To Date
