Smart-UPS Ultra 2.2 & 3kVA UPS Models Report P.XX Alarms

Issue: Smart-UPS Ultra 2.2 & 3kVA models may experience one of the following conditions:

• P.08, P.11, P.16 or P.19 alarm

Example of alarms screens displayed by the UPS:

Product Line: Smart-UPS Ultra 2.2 & 3kVA models

Environment: UPS units with ID 1062 and 1063, firmware version 04.9 or lower

Resolution: UPS firmware version 05.1 improve the handling of these alarms. Should you encounter any of these alarm conditions with your Smart-UPS Ultra 2.2 & 3kVA on firmware version 04.9 or lower, follow the below steps for resolution:

1. Do not attempt to clear the alarm by power cycling the UPS.
2. Do not attempt to update the UPS firmware - if the UPS has an active alarm, it will not be possible to update the UPS firmware.
3. Contact your local APC by Schneider Electric Technical Support for a warranty replacement of any UPS system reporting these alarms, that are in warranty.
4. After receiving a warranty replacement, update the firmware of the replacement UPS to the latest firmware version.

We recommend proactively updating the firmware of any additional Smart-UPS Ultra 2.2 & 3kVA units in your inventory that are not reporting any alarms. To update the UPS firmware to the latest version, refer to FA164737.
