Machine Expert 2.3 Password Expiration: Default Setting and Configuration
Issue:
We have a customer whose HMI was disconnected from their machine due to the Password Expiration setting that was introduced in Machine Expert 2.3 and 2.5.
We understand that this feature can be disabled in the Machine Expert settings; however, we have been unable to determine the default expiration period when the setting remains unchanged from its default value.
Product Line:
EcoStruxure Machine Expert version 2.3 and above.
Resolution:
To confirm the default value for the Password Expiration TimeoutDays that is configured in a specific Machine Expert controller,
it is required to connect to the specific controller for which this value has not been changed.
Once connected to the controller, follow the steps given in the FAQ:

Access the Password Expiration TimeoDays parameter and confirm the value.
For the M241, M251 and M262 controllers, the default value is 365 days. It is possible to change it from 0 to 1000 days.
NOTE: For Machine Expert v2.3 and 2.5, the Password Expiration parameter was set to Enabled by default. Starting with version 2.6, it is now set to Disabled.
