DEM feature stands for Dynamic Energy Management, the Pro AC will use an external power meter in addition to an internal measuring board. The external PM will measure the full load of the building or zone of the distribution panel that includes Por AC + other loads. The Pro AC will limit the charging current to = max current set in eSetup for DEM - (current measurement form ext PM - actual current measured by Pro AC).
For example : In a distribution panel limited to 63A (breaker rating 63A and ext PM connected just downstream the breaker) we have a normal consumption of 45A + a Pro AC 22kW (max 32A / phase). If the max current set for DEM is 63A it means the charger will charge maximum = 63 - 45 = 18A. If the normal consumption of the panel decreases from 45A to less than 31A, then the ProAC will be capable to deliver the nominal 32A.
If the ProAC looses the com with ext PM (com broken or power outage), the Pro AC will stop the charge and give an alarm (com with external meter lost). When the communication is back to normal the alarm will be automatically cleared and the charger will charge again with the DEM feature enable.
