What is green hydrogen?
Green hydrogen is quickly emerging as a potential method for driving decarbonisation and meeting net-zero targets.
Whilst electrification is the most efficient vector to decarbonisation, hydrogen offers an opportunity to decarbonise some of the hard-to-abate applications.
Hydrogen is the universe’s most abundant element and will play an integral role in addressing climate change. Although hydrogen is mainly produced from natural gas today (so-called ‘grey’ hydrogen), the future is dominated by ‘green’ hydrogen generated by electrolysis using renewable energy sources.
With hydrogen and hydrogen-derived fuels set to comprise 17% of the global energy supply for a zero-carbon economy by 2050 and $350 billion set to be spent on green hydrogen research and development projects over the next decade, the time is now to partner with Schneider Electric to ensure your project’s success.
