How do you determine to use edgewise or flatwise hangers when mounting I-Line busway?

Flatwise hangers hold the bus so that the bus bars are oriented with the flat side up and down. Edgewise hangers hold the bus so that the edges of the bus bars are oriented up and down. In the flatwise position, the plug-in units would mount on the sides of busway, not the top and bottom.
