Do the transformers offered in Square D`s Hospital Isolated Power Systems meet the UL standard 2601 for ''medical grade transformers''?

Issue:
Square D Transformers ''medical grade transformers''

Product Line:
Low voltage transformers.

Environment:
Products sold in the United States.

Cause:
Product features.

Resolution:
Square D does not offer any transformers to meet UL 2601.
However, Square D`s Hospital Isolated Power Systems are built to UL standards 1022, and 1047.  UL 2601-1 is the UL Standard against which all medical and dental equipment (devices used in a health care facility) is tested by UL.  An example of a UL 2601 labeled transformer would be a transformer that an OEM uses in the piece of medical equipment (an EKG may have a UL 2601 listed transformer as part of it.)  UL 1022 is the Standard against which Line Isolation Monitors are measured.  UL 1047 is the Standard for hospital isolating equipment.  A Square D Hospital Isolated Power System is a UL listed piece of equipment, and should not be construed to be part of the general electrical distribution system.
