What does safety switch suffix GL indicate on a heavy duty switch?
Issue:
How to order a factory installed ground lug for a heavy duty switch?
Product Line:
Safety Switches
Resolution:
For factory installation of an equipment ground kit, the suffix GL is added to the standard catalog number. Equipment ground kits are also field installable and UL listed in 30 - 1200 A heavy duty switches.
NOTE: Equipment ground kits are already factory installed standard in the 30 - 200 A, F series NEMA 4X (stainless steel) and NEMA 12 devices, and in all F series 4 and 6 pole switches without the need for the GL suffix.
