Will an arc fault breaker work in an old house with a grounded 2 wire system with no ground wire?

Do arc fault breakers work with circuits that do not have a ground?

Resolution:
Yes, it will work as long as the circuit is grounded and it has a segregated neutral. Absence of a ground wire will not affect performance of the AFI or CAFI breaker.
