We have a system that is 347/600V, solidly grounded. One of the 600V
CDP`s within the facility is 3 wire and does not have a neutral pulled to
it. The customer is asking how it should be connected. Does only the
ground wire get connected
Issue:
Proper installation for a Surge Logic TVSS.
Product Line:
Surge Arrester
Environment:
North America products
Cause:
N/A
Resolution:
The neutral and ground in the TVSS need to be jumpered/ connected for full diagnostics and protection as line to neutral is one of the modes of protection. For internal to the panel TVSS, put a message referencing this fact in the notes section as far as your 3 wire 347/600Y panel that does not pull the neutral. For external Surge Logic TVSS products such as the EMA and EBA, series it discusses this in the instruction bulletin, which I have attached.
