Various enclosure NEMA types for Transformers

Resolution:
SquareD/Schneider Electric Energy Efficient type EE, Single Phase and EXN Three Phase (15-150 kVA) Ventilated Transformers, meet NEMA Type 2 requirements Per NEMA Standard 250 .
EX (225-750 kVA) are rated Nema 1 and would need a Drip shield, ie 7400DS18K for the K18 enclosure style, to obtain the NEMA Type 2 rating.

By definition Nema type 2 protection provide a degree of protection against contact with live parts and provide a degree of protection against falling dirt as well as dripping and light splashing of liquids.
