Resolution:
The chemical compounds used in ACQ preserved wood products may have an adverse effect on the metal enclosure and the fasteners used to secure the enclosure to the wood surface. It is not recommended to mount the enclosure directly to the ACQ preserved wood. Spacer materials or other physical barriers are recommended to prevent direct contact of the ACQ preserved wood to the enclosure. Fastener specifications recommended for direct contact to the ACQ preserved wood are available on the Universal Forest Products website.
