Does Schneider Electric provide the bonding strap for the neutral in their transformers?

Issue:
Local and National Codes may require grounding/bonding of the neutral on a Transformer Secondary

Product Line:
LV Transformers

Environment:
Applies to Low Voltage (LV) Transformers by SquareD/Schneider Electric

Cause:
The neutral terminal on the Transformer Secondary is not physically grounded/bonded when the Transformer is shipped

Resolution:
Neutral bonding can be done either at the Transformer or, in certain circumstances, in the secondary panel. Since neutral bonding should never be done at both the Transformer and the secondary panel, Square D/Schneider Electric does not bond the neutral in the transformer. If the installer chooses to bond ground within the Transformer, they should locate and install a neutral ground lug on the enclosure at a location that is physically convenient for the required bonding to a legitimate building ground, whether it be cold water pipe, structural steel or driven ground rod.
