Environment:

Cause:
Maintenance is required for SPD equipment.

Resolution:
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safe electrical work practices as outlined in NFPA 70E or CSA Z462. Only qualified electrical personnel should install and service this equipment. Ensure all power supplying the equipment is turned off before working on or inside it. Always use a properly rated voltage sensing device to confirm the power is off. Replace any necessary components, and ensure all devices, doors, and covers are in place before restoring power. This equipment must be grounded according to all applicable codes, using an equipment-grounding conductor to connect it to the power system ground. Failure to follow these instructions can result in death or serious injury.
