Video: What to do if the system is missing native shutdown battery options / How to restore HID UPS device driver.

Issue:
Missing native shutdown battery options in Windows

Product Line:
Back-UPS and Smart-UPS

Environment:
Windows Vista, 7, 8, 10, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2016, 2019

Cause:
When viewing Power Options (go to Control Panel - Power Options) you may find that the configurable battery shutdown options are missing / not available. This may be caused by the HID driver (Human Interface Device) being updated from HID UPS to APC UPS or APC Battery BackUP.

Solution:
If you are no longer using PowerChute software and want to utilize native battery options you may need to roll / revert the HID Driver to HID UPS.
The featured video explains how to revert / restore HID UPS Driver that will allow for the configuration of native battery shutdown option.
