What is the CFF fault on the ATS48 soft starter and what causes it?
Issue:
The CFF fault on an ATS48 soft starter indicates an internal configuration error.
Resolution:
This fault can often be resolved by restoring the soft starter to its factory settings and reconfiguring the application parameters.
Reset the Soft Starter to Factory Defaults
- Go to the drC menu.
- Navigate to the FCS parameter.
- Change the value to YES.
- Press and hold the Enter key for 2 seconds to confirm the factory reset.
- Reprogram the soft starter with the required application settings.
- Cycle power to the unit.
- Apply a new run command.
If the Fault Remains
If the CFF fault continues after performing a factory reset and reprogramming the device, the issue may be related to a hardware failure. In this case:
- Replace the control board, if applicable.
- If the control board is not replaceable or the issue persists, replace the soft starter.
