NIM Replacement Precaution When CANbus Baud Rate is Configured for 500k

Issue

The purpose of this resolution is to alert STB users to a precaution that should be observed when replacing a Network Interface Module (NIM).The error will occur when the original NIM and replacement NIM baud rate settings are different, ie: 500kbps and 800kbps respectively, or vice-versa. A power cycle of the entire island will clear the error if it occurs.

Resolution

When replacing NIM's in islands that contain STBCPS2111 power supplies, or EOS-BOS combinations, it is recommended to remove power from all of these devices, rather than only the NIM. This is to prevent a possible NIM fatal error from occurring when power is restored. In the event this happens, it will not be possible to communicate with the island or perform an Autoconfigure with the RST button.
