'DynaCat .cdb Unable to find catalog database' error is returned when starting the 'Advantys
Configuration Software'.

Product Line
All versions of the 'Advantys Configuration Software'.

Environment
Windows 7

Resolution
The following error appears when a user tries to start the 'Advantys Configuration Software'.


The reason that this happens is because the software has been installed in the ..\Program Files' folder.
and the user does not have administrative access to the folder.

To resolve the problem, provide the user with administrative access to the folder.

  • Log into the PC as an administrator.
  • Right click on the 'Advantys' folder and select 'Properties'


 
  • Click on the 'Security' tab.
  • Click on 'Users...'
  • Click on the 'Allow' checkboxes to select and check it off.
  • Click on 'Apply'.
