Cause
The “Test Status Change” events are generated by the SER‑3200 simulator when the device is placed in test mode. Test mode automatically sequences inputs from off‑to‑on and back to off in 1 ms intervals. Each change in input state is recorded as an event, including the start and end of the test mode.

Resolution
Review the SER‑3200 Event Log to confirm that “Test Status Change” events originate from the internal simulator during test mode.

The test event records can be used to verify correct functionality with SCADA and power monitoring applications.

If input points are configured to trigger paging or email notifications, test mode will generate a large volume of alerts. To avoid excessive notifications, place the SER‑3200 into maintenance mode within ENM before running tests.

An attached file, “SER‑3200 Reference Guide (IB‑SER‑02)”, provides additional technical information. This guide includes details on Modbus register maps, communication protocol integration, time synchronization (PTP/NTP), web interface configuration, and access to high‑speed event logs.
