Why can I measure a higher output current than what is being supplied on the input?

Issue:
The power converter appears to be generating current.

Product Line:
Altivar 12, 212, 312, 61, 71

Environment:
All models and serial numbers

Cause:
The power output cannot exceed the power input.  The apparent current generation is due to the power factor.
