Video: Increasing Starting Torque on the ATS22
Increasing the parameters below can help deliver more breakaway torque, allowing the motor to begin turning and accelerate to speed more effectively.
SET Menu
T90 – Initial Voltage
Controls the initial voltage applied during startup. Adjustable from 10% to 50% of full voltage in 5% increments.
Factory setting: 30%.
ILt – Current Limit
Defines the maximum current permitted during motor startup. Adjustable up to 700% of the Motor Rated Current (In), with an upper limit of 350% of the Soft Starter’s rated current (IcL).
Factory setting: 350%.
ADJ Menu
(Note: To access the ADJ menu, set the LAC parameter in the SET menu to “on.”)
bSt – Boost Time
Applies an 80% voltage pulse (based on the Line Voltage UIn) for 0.0 to 1.0 seconds to help overcome initial static friction.
Factory setting: 0.0 seconds.
