Issue:
Powerlink G3 Controller Troubleshooting - breakers never shut off, powerlink controller has an error stating No Control Buses Found
Symptoms:
* Controllable breakers are always on and never shut off. Powerlink breakers will automatically turn on 10 minutes after losing communcation to the Powerlink Controller.
* Error stating "Subnet Error No Control Buses Detected" may appear when accessing menus on the screen involving breaker or bus setup.
* RX,.TX and/or CPU lights on the control buses are not blinking. One or more lights do not light up at all. They are normally supposed to blink.
Product Line:
Powerlink Lighting Control System
Environment:
Commercial or Institutional Building
Cause:
This issue might be caused by a loose connection or firmware glitch. It might be possible to clear the error. However, the problem may be caused by a non-repairable hardware failure.
Resolution:
Take the following actions to try to diagnose and or resolve this problem.
1. Try rebooting the controller. Do this either by cycling power to the panel, disconnecting the controller from the power supply, or using the soft reboot button located within the small hole to the left of the Left Arrow.
2. Try un-seating and re-seating the power supply and powerlink controller from the control buses. Make sure the devices are fully seated in the control buses.
3. If there are secondary panels on the system, try steps 1 and 2 with the secondary panels disconnected from the primary panel.
4. If there are secondary panels available, try connecting the secondary panel to the power supply with the Controller and Power Supply both disconnected from the control buses in the primary panel.
If all of these tests result in the same error, then replace the Powerlink G3 Controller.
If you can isolate the problem to a point where the Controller works with some Control Buses but not others, then replace the suspect Control Buses.
