What can cause an SCF1 on the ATV32 drives?

Issue:
SCF1 fault on the ATV32 drives.

Product Line:
Altivar ATV32

Environment:
All

Cause:
ATV32 is tripping on SCF1 when they try and run the motor.

Resolution:
SCF1= Motor short circuit

Remedy to try=
Check cables going to the drive and the motor insulation.
Try reducing the switching frequency.
Try connecting a Line reactor in series with the input of the drive.
Check the adjustment of the speed loop and brake.
Try increasing the switching frequency

You can also ways disconnect the motor and turn off the OPL ( output phase loss protection)  and run the drive open circuit without the motor at 20 hz 40 hz and 60 hz.
